Jorge Acevedo was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. His fascination for the Latin rhythms took him to travel to the best public and private salsa venues around the world. While he’s not Cuban, he keeps the Cuban salsa as the main influence of his dancing. Jorge was one of the first entrepreneurs in introducing the salsa to young people in his town of origin and since he came to Australia he has actively promoted the Latin culture through the art of Latin dancing.

Jorge is a dancer made in the streets shaped by feeling and not by technique. He’s been dancing for 11 years and teaching for the last 9 years. He prides himself to teach not only dance but culture, and his methodology is particularly focused on training minds not only bodies.
